Learning ObjectiveThe Oil Spillage Emergency for Operations is a 5-day programme designed to teach participants emergency operations for managing major oil spill responses. The course focuses on management aspects of spill response activities and includes training in spill containment and recovery. The course is a hands-on programme in which the participants learn to identify potential spill sources, to properly use response equipment and to determine the appropriate cleanup techniques for the various types of oil that may be spilled. This course provides detailed instruction in oil spill prevention and response techniques.
